With Krypt Cloud Replication you can ensure that your Cloud or Bare Metal Server is protected in a geographically diverse data center. Krypt offers full Cloud Server to Cloud Server replication where your server's data is copied within seconds of a change to another datacenter. During a failover, your server will automatically be spun up in the remote data center with a pre-provisioned IP address within minutes. For Bare Metal Servers we offer full Bare Metal to Bare Metal Server and Bare Metal Server to Cloud Server replication.
Krypt offers various levels of SAN based storage from Platinum level high speed SSD drives with RAID10 to Bronze based SATA bulk storage arrays. Cloud server customers can choose between all tiers of storage while only Bronze storage is available as NFS mounts for dedicated servers.
Backup routines and cron jobs can be ran to provide daily backups to these data mounts to provide a secure and cost effective backup solution. Gold and Platinum tiered storage are offered for users that require higher IO performance for intensive applications such as databases. Krypt is also able to expand your storage needs on the fly with a simple reconfiguration of the drive you will get expanded storage. Redundancy in our storage arrays are achieved through RAID and file replication between SAN arrays.
As a premier Nimble Storage partner, Krypt offers offsite replication services to the Cloud for enhanced data protection and Disaster Recovery solutions. Krypt Nimble Storage Replication Services to the Cloud are offered at our Los Angeles data centers to give you additional redundancy. Site to site VPN connections add enhanced data security.
In a Disaster Recovery scenario, Krypt Cloud Pool resources can be consumed on a Pay-per-Use or subscription basis for on-demand infrastructure. In most cases, Replication Time Objective (RTO) is less than 4 hours and Replication Point Objective (RPO) is the last replication snapshot. Our team of Cloud experts monitor and ensure data is replicated and bi-annual tests are scheduled with the customer to ensure data integrity. Krypt utilizes VMware vShield Edge gateways which allows customers to configure firewall, NAT, IPSec VPN and load balancing policies. The vShield Edge gateway can be scaled up from the Compact deployment to Large deployment which can support 9.7Gbps of throughput and 1 million concurrent sessions. Krypt offers dedicated hardware appliance firewalls from Fortinet with ranging performance and features. The FortiGate firewall can be utilized to protect numerous Krypt Dedicated Servers in your account. We typically deploy the FortiGate firewall in transparent mode and it will drop bad connections as they come in. The FortiGate can also be deployed in traditional NAT deployment where the public IP’s are bound to the external interface of the FortiGate firewall and the servers have internal IP addresses. This offers the best protection and minimizes your servers exposure to the public Internet. We also offer an additional UTM (Unified Threat Management) license upgrade which enables Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) feature sets such as Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Prevention (IPS).
CloudFlare works in conjunction with Krypt hosting services by caching content closer to your customers through their Global Content Delivery Network (CDN) while protecting your website with Web Application Firewall features such as blocking SQL injections and mitigating DDOS attacks. CloudFlare works best when the domain’s DNS is handle through CloudFlare’s anycast DNS network. CloudFlare has optional plugins to popular control panels like cPanel, Odin Plesk, WHMCS, Hostbill and more.
